BetaShares Active AustraliaN Hybrids Fund (HBD)
CCI is the Investment Manager of the BetaShares Active Australian Hybrids Fund (ASX: HBRD), which is one of Australia’s most popular active ETFs.
HBRD targets daily liquidity, zero duration returns that exceed the RBA cash rate plus 2.5% pa net of fees and was designed to provide investors with a convenient alternative to direct ownership of hybrids by offering access to a professionally managed, diversified portfolio of hybrids, subordinated bonds, senior bonds and cash.
HBRD has the ability to allocate more of the portfolio to lower risk cash and bonds if the hybrids market is assessed to be overvalued or to present a heightened risk of capital loss, as was the case prior to the March 2020 COVID-19 crisis.
In March 2020, HBRD substantially outperformed the ASX hybrids index, the Barclays Global High Yield Bond Index, the Australian equities market, and bank stocks.
HBRD can be used to complement or substitute an existing direct hybrids portfolio, offering superior portfolio diversification, risk management, and highly active execution services via CCI’s proven capability.
The ASX listed HBRD is rated by Lonsec and generally classified in the high-yield or alternative income universes.
