Coolabah Peregrine Strategy

Coolabah’s Peregrine Strategy is a global alternative fixed-income strategy designed to deliver attractive risk-adjusted returns through active management of liquid, high-quality credit and sovereign markets.

It seeks to outperform cash by 8% per annum, net of fees and expenses, over rolling three-year periods. The strategy focuses on identifying and capturing pricing inefficiencies across bond markets through a combination of proprietary quantitative research, fundamental analysis, and active portfolio management.

It invests across a broad universe of fixed-income and credit-related securities, including government and corporate bonds, securitised assets, hybrids and derivatives. The investment team combines bottom-up security selection with top-down macroeconomic insights, seeking to generate alpha from mispriced opportunities while actively managing risk.

The strategy has the flexibility to adjust exposures across sectors, regions, and market conditions, including increasing cash allocations when risk-adjusted opportunities become less attractive.

Peregrine is managed by an experienced team led with extensive global expertise across credit, rates, derivatives, and quantitative investing. The investment process is underpinned by rigorous risk management, with a focus on preserving capital while pursuing consistent returns through varying market cycles.
