Coolabah Capital Investments Signs with the Crusaders

Coolabah Capital Investments is delighted to announce an exciting new partnership with the Crusaders.

Coolabah have signed a three-year deal with the Super Rugby franchise as they expand their operations in New Zealand. The partnership brings together two champions in their respective fields and highlights their mutual commitment to excellence.

With this announcement, Coolabah becomes a major partner of the Crusaders for the next three seasons. Coolabah Capital actively seek partners that share the same commitment to fostering a culture of speed, precision, and human excellence with a focus on sustainable intellectual edge.

Christopher Joye, Coolabah’s Chief Investment Officer, said it was “an honour and a privilege to partner with, and support, one of the world’s pre-eminent rugby teams and reinforce our deep investment in New Zealand, which includes two investment funds that have returned as much as 13.2% after fees over the last 12 months”.

“Both our organisations share a commitment to hard work, precision, speed and world-class outcomes in our respective fields. We see this partnership as an opportunity to support a key New Zealand community, promote the sport of rugby, and showcase the power of collaboration between two high-performance cultures,” Joye said.

“We are also just fans who love the team and what they do, love what they represent, and can’t wait to see the team succeed over the coming years. Our three-year partnership is the beginning of a long-term commitment to the Crusaders.”

Phil Kearns, a former Wallaby and current non-executive director of Coolabah Capital, said he was “delighted to be combining Coolabah and the Crusaders in a partnership centred around high-performance human capital”.

“Having played for the Wallabies and spent a career working in finance, there are clear synergies and cultural commonalities between Coolabah Capital, which is one of the world’s most successful fixed-income investors, and the Crusaders, which is arguably the world’s most consistently successful rugby franchise.”

“I’m looking forward to working closely with the Crusaders to create memorable experiences for fans and provide valuable support to the team as they strive for both on and off field success.”

Coolabah Capital also sponsor New Zealand ski racer Alice Robinson and have a passion for rugby – characteristics that Colin Mansbridge, Crusaders CEO, said made Coolabah a great fit for the franchise.

“We’re thrilled to have Coolabah on board for the next three years as they look to expand their operations in New Zealand and continue to perform in a market-leading capacity,” Mansbridge said.

“Their commitment to speed, precision, human capital and world-class outcomes aligns perfectly with our team’s values. We’re excited about sharing each other’s approach to high performance and learning through our partnership”.

Expect exciting events and activities throughout the season as Coolabah Capital and the Crusaders come together to make a positive impact on the community and the world of rugby.
